Win a Race Entry to Al Andalus Ultra Trail 2011                                                     Every participant that takes part in the Kalahari Augrabies Extreme Marathon 2009 will stand a chance to win an entry to Spain's premier multi-stage trail run.  Al Andalus Ultra Trail is a very tough 5 day, 5 stage race of around 250km. The course, described below, will provide a very demanding test not just for your legs but for your character and determination. Temperatures will be high ( 35-45C ), climbs numerous and long and the trails are scenic and demanding. Over 90% is off-road, mountain and desert tracks with the majority of tarmac in the final kilometers when you are approaching the stage village finishes. The race will be semi-supported so you can travel with the minimum specified and enjoy the journey.  Unlike other extreme races, where you travel in remote areas and have to be self-sufficient, this race takes you on a " tour " via local villages. The terrain between them is tough but each stage ends in a village where, once you have eaten your " carried meal " you are free to visit, ( and eat / drink more if you want too ).  Website: www.alandalusultratrail.com
