ABOUT JOHN: John is a Business & Technology Risk Consultant (aka Auditor). He enjoys travel, gadgets, kayaking, scuba diving, triathlon, adventure racing… He has only done one road marathon and finished around 4 hours 35 mins. I then started trail runs… John only really started taking running seriously in the last few months but I guess I really started in August 2006. His most interesting races are probably the longer distance ones. Did the Caledonian Challenge in Scotland. It hurt for 3 months after! More recently though the North Face 100km in the Blue Mountains near Sydney – loads of hills and mountains funnily enough. He supports the RSPCA. Why KAEM: My friend Gareth convinced me it would be a fun thing to do. I’m still unsure… |

year which was in the Blue Mountains. Did his 50km in the 100

completely unexpected. Only really started competing in the last 6
months. Alex has been running since he was about 10yrs old, started
in school athletics and cross country and now running longer
distances. His most interesting race would have to be the North
Face 100 event. They slept in mates' car on the start line the night
before, rolled out of the car onto the start line, ended up winning
and being on the finish line! Amazed that we won the pairs.
Why KAEM: Was told about it by a mate and loved the
idea of it, pushing your body to its limits, and if I don't do it, I
