Why KAEM: I love being part of KAEM, from either side of the water table. It's a privilege to return to this amazing landscape and spend time with old friends and be sure of making new ones, to see what's going on behind the scenes, and try to get a glimpse of what's happening behind the sunglasses and the miggie nets, and weave it all into the unfolding story. Running or crewing, everybody learns and grows and changes out there in the Kalahari. No two years are the same - anything can happen out there to anyone at any time. That's the dynamic of the Big Daddy.

Why KAEM: I am a runner for about 30 years. As a sport fanatic, I watched the KAEM on several occasions on TV and it fascinates me. I am also involved in organizing our club races. I really think it will be great to get involved in helping at such a wonderful event.
